A History of Service
Soroptimist International of Auburn was chartered in 1947 by a group of about 20 downtown businesswomen. Over the years the Auburn club has grown to over 40 active members making a huge difference in the lives of women and children.
A Global Voice For Women
Soroptimist International is a worldwide organization for women in management and professions, working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women.
We currently have over 90,000 members in more than 3,000 clubs in 124 countries. Soroptimists are women who use the special expertise and management skills developed in their working life to advance the status of women and make the world a better place.
Membership offers the opportunity to work with like-minded women throughout the world for human rights for all, equality, development and peace.
